Fuel card stolen from insecure vehicle in Walton and used by the suspect.

A fuel/credit card was stolen from a vehicle on Oakenshaw Lane, Walton in the early hours of Sunday 31 May and used by the suspect in two contactless transactions. It is thought that the vehicle had been left insecure.

The suspect is described as a white male wearing a pale green jumper, bright blue coat tied around his waist and black trainers. He was seen to try a number of car doors along Oakenshaw Lane. 

Please remember to remove all your valuables, however small, from view or place them in the boot when leaving your vehicles. Always double check that you have locked your vehicle by trying the door handle.

Vehicles with unfolded electric wing mirrors could indicate that it has been left unlocked. Car thieves are known to look out for vehicles with wing mirrors sticking out.

Offences can take place anywhere, in a car park, at the side of the road or on your driveway.
